Festival de Artes is a delightful memory with another great year behind us featuring the traditional Mexican entertainment, food, bar, artists and other vendors! Plenty to see and do! Next years event is March 16, 2025 and we will keep you informed as details are finalized about the location of the event!
2024 Festival de Artes is one of the longest running festivals in the Baja Sur - this will be our 29th festival!! It was held on the grounds of the beautiful Hotel Palmas de Cortez in Los Barriles, March 17th, from 10am - 4pm - just a short drive from everywhere!
Festival de Artes offers traditional entertainment, great food vendors, fantastic artists, an expanded beer garden with plenty of bartenders and so much more was enjoyed by all. Folks can browse through the rows of around the selected guest artists with original art mediums such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, fabric, pottery, wood, metal, concrete and glass. Enjoy the creations of artists with fabric, flowers, silver, gold and precious stones in designs like no other. We have gone back to our roots with more original art, different mediums and more quality. We select our artists to ensure that our artists design and create their original works so that you know you are getting an original hand-crafted piece directly from artist to you! You will also have the opportunity to see traditional Mexican art and a variety of 'adventurer and experience' vendors to fill your time here with some exciting opportunities for new things to do and see! We will also be having our raffle and silent auction and our team is going above and beyond to ensure that we have the greatest possible items available! Get some great things, and help us raise funds to continue our mission!
The smells coming from the Food Court will tantalize you with the delicious food with a new emphasis on up scaling and increasing the variety of our food court. We have several great restaurants from the area providing us with the best possible food. San Antonio Pizza, Palmas de Cortez, La Casita, Carmens Cafe, Sausage Ladies to name a few. The ice will be crackling with all your favorite cold beverages from our bar that is second to none! And yes, we will have plenty of bartenders!!!
While you are taking a break with your food and cold drink, you will be entertained with traditional folkloric Mexican dancing from the Primary school in Los Barriles. We will also be treated with the local dancers Tekiti Dance Group along with other dance troupes from La Paz. The entertainment will be every quarter hour starting at 10:00. ~Raffle and Silent Auction ~
We have also stepped up our game with our raffle and silent auction. You will be able to bid on a variety experiences including: fishing trips, hotel stays in Todo Santos, Los Barriles, La Paz & Cabo Pulmo, guided tours, quad rentals, Multi-day Expeditions, whale watching, jewelry, paintings, shopping trips, dinner packages and our stuffed raffle baskets – and that is just to start. Become a vendor and be part of one of the largest and longest continually running Art Festivals in the Baja Sur! Always held the 3rd Sunday of March, and following the Baja Shakespeare Festival, the weekend brings guests to town from all over the Baja.
To be in the artist section, you must make 90% of what you are selling. A photo of your work must be included to qualify for the Artists selling area You will not receive an application until you have been accepted.
